Today marks the 1 year anniversary of Makenna's adoption. Where has time gone? I can't believe that it's been a year already.
I took the day off work and kept Mak'D out of school today. We slept in, went to the gym and then went to Nana and Pop's for a few hours. Nana and Pop are watching Kyra and Matthew this weekend so they were off today as well. Pop watched Matthew while Nana and I took the girls to see "Horton hears a Who!" Makenna had never been to the movies before. What an experience -- for all of us. Let's just say, it's hard to sit still for 90 minutes when you are two. ;-)
Makenna and I came home after the movie and snuggled on the couch and looked at pictures from adoption day last year. It's amazing that she knows everyone in the pictures -- some of whom she hasn't seen in almost a year.

Congratulations - we just celebrated ours too. Isn't it amazing to think it's been a year already? I no longer have your e-mail address, but wanted to let you know Tucker met his new family yesterday and they took him to his new home. He was THRILLED to meet their yorkies and overcome with curiosity. I posted pictures of his new family on our blog so check them out. They'll be sending me upddates and I asked them to mail you updates as well. He is doing very well, spent last night cuddling on their laps (!), so different from when we got him - he was lost for days. This is absolutely the BEST family for him, and he sounds totally content.
