A Day at the Zoo

Makenna went to the zoo with Nana and Mommy on Saturday August 11, 2007. I think we picked the hottest day of the year to go too. It must have been in the high 90's by 10 in the morning. Needless to say, we only stayed a few hours. We will have to go back when it's cooler.

4th of July

What a beautiful day! The temperature was in the mid-80's and it wasn't too hot to be outside. Makenna and I went to Tiny Town in the morning. Tiny Town is about 45 minutes from the house in the foothills. We were there when they opened at 10 and stayed a few hours. Makenna loved the train ride (her first ever) and she really enjoyed running around looking in all the windows of the houses.

Anna and Makenna

Play Date

My Friend Jenny and her daughter Anna came over for a play date on June 30th. Anna and Makenna also go to daycare together so we all know each other well. We BBQ'd for lunch then tried to beat the heat in the pool. It was actually PERFECT in the shade. The girlie's had a good time. Hopefully we can get together more this summer for more play dates.

What a fun Day! Eric and Candi let Kyra come play with Makenna (and me too) for a few hours. The girls had such a great time. We BBQ'd hot dogs for lunch, played in the sprinkler and pool, and bought Popsicles from the ice cream man. After Kyra left, Makenna took a 4 1/2 nap and slept 12 hours that night. The girls both played hard and had a good time together. They are at the perfect age to actually enjoy each other's company. It was a such a treat to have Kyra for a few hours...A special day.

Father's Days 2007

Eric and Candi had only been from the hospital after having Matt for just 1 night before Father's Day. Mom and dad made lunch and we went to Eric and Candi's house for a few hours to celebrate. It was another hot June day so the girls were able to play outside in the pool.
